Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for curing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other situations as recommended by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Zithromax as prescribed by your physician. To clear up your infection completely, use Macrobid for the full course of treatment. Keep using it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so can decrease the effectiveness of this curing and can increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial medicines in the future.
Additional Information
Zithromax may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, talk to your doctor. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not use less or more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
