Drug Uses
Anafranil is indicated for treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It can also be used for other situations as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Anafranil as ordered by your physician. To avoid stomach upset take Anafranil with a meal. It can take 2 - 3 weeks before you feel the effect of Anafranil. Continue taking Anafranil even if you feel better.
Additional Information
Anafranil may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Anafranil is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Anafranil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. Anafranil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
